This page contains charts and visual aids that will help in customizing orders for lace wigs and hair units.
Your new hair will soon become a part of who you are, so please make careful choices for hair coloring, density, texture, and lace
color. Devote extra attention to taking head measurements accurately, which is the most important specification for assuring that your
lace unit will fit properly.
To ensure that your new hair will look the way you've envisioned, contact Ms Lola if you have any questions or concerns at any stage
of filling out the order forms.
CHART 1: Measuring instructions for frontals (#1 and #2 measurements only) Measuring instructions for half wigs and 3/4 wigs (#1, #2, and #3 measurements)
|
Measuring instructions for full wigs ONLY
Before measuring, press your hair as close to your head as possible by either braiding or wrapping it, then cover with a wig cap.
|
1. Measure your head Circumference with a tape measure around your hairline.
Circumference: Place the tape flat against your forehead at your hairline and wrap around your head. The tape should rest behind
your ears and also sit on the nape of your neck.
2. From Forehead to Nape of Neck.
Front to Nape: This measures the length of your head from the front to the nape of your neck. To determine where the nape of
your neck is, tilt your head back and look up. Where your neck bends and may even develop a skin fold, is where your nape is. You
want the bottom of the wig to sit right above this area so that when you do tilt your head back that far, your wig will not shift on
your head. This area is often right at the occipital bone, but be sure to take the measurement with your neck bent down so that
you are looking at your shoes. Starting at the front hairline, measure directly across the middle top of your head to the area that
you have determined is your nape.
3. Ear to Ear Across Front Hairline.
Temple to Temple across Front: This measures your temple to temple length for tape tab placement. Place tape at your temple,
just in front of your ear, bring tape up towards the top of the head and go 1.5 inch behind the front hairline, down to the
opposite temple in front of the opposite ear.
4. From Ear to Ear Over Top of Head.
Ear to Ear Across Top of Head: This measures your head for the top of the wig base. Place tape against your head at the top edge
of your ear and go directly across the top of your head to the top edge of the opposite ear.
5. Measure from Temple to Temple Around the Back of Head.
Temple to Temple Around the Back of the Head: Place tape against your head at the front edge of the hairline (sideburn area) in
front of the ear, go around the head above the occipital bone to the opposite front edge of the hairline.
6. Nape of Neck: The measures the width of your neck. Place tape at the lowest point on the bone behind your ear (mastoid bone)
and measure across the neck to the opposite mastoid bone.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY SO YOU WILL UNDERSTAND HOW HAIR WILL BE VENTILATED FOR YOUR WIG.
All wigs are produced in long layered styling. In other words, the hair will be 3 different lengths. For example if you request a 16-inch
wig, 30% will be 12 inches (front of wig), 30% will be 14 inches (half crown and sides), and 40% will be 16 inches (back crown and
bottom of wig). Other lengths are measured like this too, in 2-inch increments.
If you want the same length hair all over the wig, specify "Full Length" on the order form. You will be charged for a 4-inch longer wig
because it takes longer hair to make the overall wig one length. For example, if you request 16-inch "Full Length" hair, you will be
charged for a 20-inch wig.
If you do not understand about this pricing for hair lengths, please contact Ms Lola prior to submitting your order form.

Coloring Techniques That Can Personalize Your Wig Or Hair Unit Even More:
1. Highlights: Streaks of lighter colors placed anywhere throughout the wig. (Use highlight chart to indicate areas where you
want highlights.)
2. Evenly Mixed or % Mixed Coloring: Mixing two or more colors will subtly or dramatically change the color of your wig to a
totally new color. The mix color density that you select will determine the percentage of mix color(s) added to the base color.
3. 2-Tone Coloring: Roots are one color: Hair shaft is a different color. You can also have roots one color and have the shaft
mixed with one or more colors.
If you have questions about color combinations, please ask them in the 'Comments' box at the end of the order form. Ms Lola
will contact you either by phone or reply email with answers or suggestions.
The color chart below has been updated with true color depictions. These are the colors available for custom wigs. You can make many new colors and combinations from these colors. Human hair swatches of these colors are now available for purchase in our online store if you would like to preview hair colors in person before placing your custom wig order.

|
The technique that we use to minimize the appearance of the knots is called bleaching. Bleaching the knots of wigs and
hair units lighten the knots so that the hairs blend with the lace and look like natural hairs growing from the scalp.
The above diagrams show single knot ventilation before and after the bleaching process. Many wig companies charge extra
for this service. Ms Lola adds bleach knots free of charge.
Please Note: Bleached knots on your wig may not be exactly as the ones pictured. The degree to which knots are
lightened depends on the hair color and lace color. If knots are bleached too light, hair will shed excessively from wig.
